TRAVELOGUE
Comprised of visual notes from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, Travelogue is a journey into the very idea of belonging and place. The series explores facts and mysteries of humanity, from the desperation of disease and abandonment among lepers in India, to the determination and conviction of ritual processions in Guatemala; from the careful movements in stacking bread for sale in Kashgar, China, to the tenderness of connection between mother and child in Guyana. Though the photos are studies of very specific rootedness in particular cultures and histories, human gestures also echo across the globe—in outstretched hands, embraces, heads bowed in introspection, gangly limbs of climbing children, and wondering stares of curious eyes.
